Gëmt-vithe Fêqê (/ˈrehɪ/ /ˈviʃe/ [lethal; fatal] [handcuff]) is a temperate Town located in the Z̄upaguv Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Gëmt-vithe Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Gëmt-vithe Fêqê was founded by Szazzo Zlèdo, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê has a yearly average temperature of 26°C (78°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). Gëmt-vithe Fêqê receives an average of 208 cm/y (81 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Gëmt-vithe Fêqê covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 3464 m (11364 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê was founded durring the late 14th century in winter of the year 1278, by Szazzo Zlèdo. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Szazzo Zlèdo.

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Gëmt-vithe Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of spacious packed earth streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. The town's millitarily questionable fortifications are visibly old, but also obviously well maintained. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with routine mantance of the town's defences.

Right off the bat Gëmt-vithe Fêqê hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. The town is very clearly a joyfull place as well as wealthy. Music can be heard often, as well as laughter. The smell of food and drink permiates the air. You can’t help but smile.

Civic Infrastructure

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Gëmt-vithe Fêqê. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Gëmt-vithe Fêqê's parks.

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Gëmt-vithe Fêqê.

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Gëmt-vithe Fêqê's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê has an Arts Academy which provides higher education in many fields including math, language arts, philosophy, engineering, and other such disciplines.

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Gëmt-vithe Fêqê's natural decorations nor waterways.

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is based upon new and innovative technologies of construction and the idea that form should follow function. It was an embrace of minimalism and a rejection of ornament. The style became characterized by an emphasis on volume, asymmetrical compositions, and minimal ornamentation..

In Gëmt-vithe Fêqê there are unidentifiable people in the fog, but it seems to be okay.

The Leshy, Lichen near Gëmt-vithe Fêqê are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves consuming a local narcotic to channel Charm energies of tier 3 via proclamations.

Gëmt-vithe Fêqê is in secret rebellion against their ostensible liege, having cut deals with his enemies, plotted to betray him for their own gain, or bridled under his tyranny and sought a better lord. The community’s leadership is all in on this plot, and outside viceroys or representatives are being kept carefully ignorant of the reality. The common folk may be oblivious to the truth, though they’ll doubtless have felt the same motivations and promptings that convinced their leaders to turn traitor.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century a local hero by the name of saved most of the town when a natural disaster struck Gëmt-vithe Fêqê. A small order of knights was founded in 's honor, and bears his name to this day.
